Igunga Urban Water and Sanitation Authority (IGUWASA) is one of the competitively best Authorities in the Tanzanian water and
sanitation sector supplying dean and safe water and efficient sanitation services for the residents of Igunga Town and its suburbs. The Authority is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced, dynamic and motivated Tanzanians to fill the understated vacancies that currently exist in the Authority.

2) Head Of Commercial Department ( 1 Post)
Employment Terms: Two years contract- Renewable
Responsible to: Managing Director

Purpose of the job: To be Revenue & collection accounting officer
Supervises: Cashier, Billing officer Public Relation officer and meter readers
Special attributes: Trustiness, Faithfull and integrity

Required minimum qualifications: Holder FTC in civil water engineering Of diploma in business administration at any recognized institution, working experience at least three years, Age not exceeding 45 years.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Heads the department responsible for customer services and follows up of responsible of water bills by customers.
• Advises the Managing Director 00 all issues concerning business of the Authority
• Checks and directs subordinates on customer data collection, entry, computations and analysis to ensure they are effectively and efficiently done.
• Develops and implements strategies for meeting customer demand for water and improving customer services.
• Checks on customer database to ensure it is up-dated regularly and current.
• Supervises subordinates to ensure that a customer survey is carried out continuously to understand the current credit status and needs of customers.
• Monitors availability of water supply at public supply points (Kiosks, Water bowser Animal watered services.
• Supervises disconnections and reconnection of water supply of defaulting customer to ensure they are timely carried out.
• Manages the communication between customers and Authority to ensure that customers are informed of all developments regarding water they can get from the Authority.
• Manages meter readings, calculation of water bills, preparation and distribution of water bills.
• Develops and implements strategies to ensure customers settle
• their current bills rather than have outstanding bills.
• Develops individual performance objectives, targets and standard in consultation with the immediate superior.
• Conducts open performance review and appraisal of subordinates and given feedback.
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director.
• To prepare Monthly, quarterly and annually progress reports.

2.Assistant Financial Manager , Igunga Urban Water and Sanitation Authority

3) Assistant Financial Manager (1 POST)
Employment Terms: Two years contract- Renewable
Responsible to: Managing Director
Purpose of the job: To be Responsible for Financial issues
Supervises: Cashier; Accounts assistant and Assistant Accountant
Special attributes: Trustiness, Faithfull and integrity

Required minimum qualifications:
Holder Diploma in accountant and finance at any recognized institution, working experience at least three years, Age not exceeding 45 years.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Head of Section responsible for efficient and effective management of revenue and expenditure activities of the Authority.
• To manage the Accounting Section's revenue, accounts, billing and Computer Operation activities of the Authority efficiently by following professional accounting principles and ethics.
• To prepare and submit to the Finance and Administration
• Manager financial plans and budgets well in advance before the end of financial year in order to facilitate approval of the new financial year's budget the board of Directors.
• Providing financial information required by the Management.
• Keeping books of accounts relating to revenue grants and expenses accurately and timely according to accounting professional Standards established by NBM from time to time.
• To recommend accounting policies and procedures to the management through the Finance and Administration
• Manager and to ensure their strict implementation after approval by the Board of Directors.
• Preparation on time of monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Statements for the Water Authority.
• Timely preparation of annual financial reports and accounts.
• Maintaining statutory returns and accounting books and ledgers according to the accounting professional standards.
• Making sure that the books of accounts are audited by external auditors within the required legal period and presented to the Board of Directors.
• Answering of all Internal and External audit queries accurately and on time.
• Implementing sound controllership systems and procedures of physical property, cash, cheques, purchase orders, receipt books and other accountable documents.
• Timely payment of taxes, salaries, imprest, debtors and statutory contributions without incurring penalties.
• Ensuring that accurate water bills are processed in time for the right customers in the right quantity.
• Ensuring efficient operation of computers and production of accurate bills, accounts and reports on time according to established processing schedules.
• Timely, safety and accurate collection, recording, custody and banking of water and sewerage revenue intact.
• Proper valuation of closing stock and fixed assets at the end of the financial year:
• Active participation in annual stock taking and stock balancing.
• Provide financial and costing information required by the Management learn.
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Finance and Administration Manager.

Subordinates Assistant Managers heading Plant & Production, Water Quality Control, Water
Network Operations, and Sanitation Operations sections.

Special attributes Accountability.

Required minimum qualifications:
Holder FTC {diploma in civil water engineering, working experience three years, Age not exceeding 45 years.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Overall in charge of Technical Department
• Ensure adequate quantity of water of the right quality is produced.
• Develop standard procedure for maintenance of plants water networks.
• Prepares technical specifications.
• Makes routine inspectors of works.
• Oversees establishment maintenance.
• Oversees workshops.
• Prepares budget for his department.
• To implement and evaluate IGUWASA's STRATEGIES.
• To prepare and implement action plan for his department.
• Responsible for planning, expansion, design and execution of all works in the Authority.
• In liaison with Financial and Administrative Manager and commercial Manager ensures operation, financial and commercial performance of the Authority according to agreed performance and public health standards.
• Advises the Managing Director on all technical matters.
